Maid of Honor
Carly has been one of my longest friends. We met at Joe's Crab Shack as two hostesses. Our first adventure was a house party and since then, we have backpacked Europe and Southeast Asia together. I miss our wine nights and line dancing days. College life would have been a blur without Carly by my side, always keeping me grounded. I couldn't be happier that she'll be standing up there with me as my maid of honor, ready to bring the fun, laughter, and endless love to our wedding day. Can't wait to make more unforgettable memories with this amazing friend by my side!
Best Man
The brother of the groom, Mike proves that being the life of the party is a full-time job. The only person who at any time can give a call and say “hey, do you know anyone who needs a horse? I just bought 4…” He’s smart, funny, and whatever you need, he’s got a guy for that. Here’s to a lifetime of brotherhood and more good times than bad.
Matron of Honor
Anika and I met in our last class of our last year of college. We hit it off ever since! Anika has helped take me out of my comfort zone throughout life and I appreciate all the fun and learning we have shared over the years. I have grown close to her family over the years and feel lucky her husband is one of our officiants. She is a one of my closest confidant's and I'm excited to have her standing up there with me as my matron of honor.
Groomsman
Zach grew up down the street from Dan and between his impeccable memory and voice of reason he spent most of high school being there to keep Dan out of trouble (with the exception being when they thought it was a good idea to start a local neighborhood fight club). Dan looks to him for his solid advice and for always being a good friend, and to occasionally break out his Bollywood skills on the dance floor.
Bridesmaid
My amazing sister-in-law! Nicole fit into our family like a perfect puzzle piece. She always joined for family game nights and any family events we had. Nicole always has the best advice and shows up for the people in her life. I know I can always rely on her and trust that she has my family's best interests at heart. My brother found a wonderful partner and I feel thankful to have a sister and doggie nephew for life :)
Groomsman
Dan met Alex in High School being as nerdy as possible in Science Research class and then followed him to Cornell. The most intelligent and charming man in any room, he can be as at home defending his two PHDs in complex mathematics as he can hopping behind a bar in Greece teaching the bartenders how to make a proper cocktail. And if you ever need a man to teach you how to make a boat, he is your guy.
Bridesmaid
Denise and I met in our master's program. I always liked to sit in the front of the class and so did she. I remember thinking whoa this girl can type really fast and is really smart, I want to be friends with her. Since then, I have grown close to her, her amazing fiancé, Ryan, and doggie Penny. I miss our walks in Central Park, bouldering, and adventures in Kansas City. I will also be forever grateful for the care and support after a soccer game went wrong... Denise it only feels right that you are up there celebrating with me! I can't wait to celebrate you for your wedding!
Groomsman
Proof that they let pretty much anyone become a cop these days, Dan Plachta also happens to be one of the most genuine and kind people out there (even if he will never admit it). Whether he’s biking 100 miles on a whim or tricking Dan into competing in a triathlon that he then bails on to go on a cruise, he will always show up when needed with a quality cigar and some good advice.
Bridesmaid
Anna, or Nanners, and I met on Skype as a new roommate candidate interview. We would go on to share a bedroom for most of college and a few years after. Living so close for so long, we became like sisters. We both chose to work in education and always bond over a mix of complaining and advocating for how things could be better for our students. The dedication she give to her students and her friends is inspiring. Through our stagecoach adventures, Joe's Crab Shack and Parkers Lighthouse eras, I have too many amazing stories and memories. I am so excited she will standing up there with me on my wedding day!

As the artist of the group, Gabe shows that you don’t actually need a band to put together a nine person composition (plug to his new album here - https://linktr.ee/gabrielevanorchestra). When he’s not on tour, you can find him giving advice on where to find the cheapest boilermaker in Brooklyn, waking up at odd hours to yell at European soccer teams, or trying to convince himself that the Jets stand a chance of being good one day…
Bridesmaid
Terri is one of the sweetest, always down, have your back, dress-up, dress down, rally QUEENS I have ever met. We have been friends since the end of college and time feels like it never passed when we see each other. I think the only disagreement we have ever had was about a book in book club that she loved and I didn't even finish. She is someone you can share a glass of wine with or a cup of tea and feel seen and heard. She give the best hugs and best advice. I'm lucky to have her stand-up with me while I marry my best friend.
Groomsman
Growing up, Dan spent probably about as much time at the Coleman house as he did at home. After college, it was marketing Everett ties in Loisada (Lower East Side), gallivanting around Southeast Asia, or trying to figure out if you could get a horse in an elevator to the roof of the Dream Hotel for the Kentucky Derby party. Either way, Nate’s generosity knows no bounds and everyone knows how far he’ll go for his friends and how many lives he’s impacted.
Bridesman
My little, not so little brother, John! We are a rare pair, being that my brother has been one of my closest friends since day one. He put-up with my bossy-ness for too many years. Whether it was me pretending to be teacher with him as a student, or me one-upping his logic with "well...technically" descriptions, he is the most patient and kind human in this word. I miss our paintball days, when I could actually tackle him in football, playing SSX tricky, aggressive inline, or DDR and Who Wants to be a Millionaire religiously on our PS2. We did and do love gaming :) During college and to this day, we can talk on the phone for hours. He always makes time for his family and he has the biggest heart of anyone you will meet. He has grown into the most badass man and husband. I feel grateful he will be standing up there when Dan officially joins our family.
Groomswoman
As Shakespeare said, “though she be but little she is fierce”. Jackie lived with Dan for 7 years, showing that she is capable of pretty much anything. From inventing Splitwise (ask about “Jackies spreadsheet”) to doing late night backflips to somehow being the only one to get covid in croatia despite being the most responsible person, Jackie is the friend that will always be there for you no matter what. Jackie is the true ride or die… Just don’t tell her that the mouse in the apartment is named Henry and you’ve known about him for weeks…
Officiant
Andrew, like his wife, is one of our closest friends. We know anytime we spend time together, we are in for a fun time! With Andrew we can be silly, vulnerable, dazzling in cool costumes, or chill and he is always genuinely engaged and supportive. He is an amazing DJ, DJ Lil Pickle, and with all the best beats, and he always creates the best vibes! He can also ride a bike backwards, as him about it. We have appreciated his advice over the years, especially right before Kayce started graduate school. He is an incredible father and husband who understands the blessings, responsibilities, and amazing feelings life brings. We are very grateful he will be one of our amazing officiants!
Officiant
History will always remember when Funsho met Kayce and Dan. Largely because it was during Covid and meeting people was rare. Funsho was dating Jackie, and Dan could not be happier the two met. They will be celebrating their marriage in August where Dan will be one of the officiants. Funsho is always intentional and present in the moments you are with him. When he met Kayce, there were deep conversations, lots of laughs, and never a satiable amount of food, and she can cook. Funsho and Jackie have really seen Dan and Kayce’s relationship from the beginning and watched as it grew into a bond ready for marriage. We are very thankful to have Funsho as one of our officiants, being present for another big life milestone.
Dress Designer
Newman, or NuNu, I have known as long as I have known Carly. This QUEEN and I always danced our hearts out at Joe's Crab Shack! The love and true passion has always been fashion, and I have been lucky to photograph the most amazing designs he has created. Newman is gentle, loving, and always shows-up authentically. I was shocked and thankful when he FINALLY joined me at Parker's Lighthouse, a short walk away from his apartment, where we continued to create more memories. I have always wanted to wear an Atlelier Newman look, and I feel immensely lucky to have Newman making my dresses for Dan and I's wedding. This is the most special and amazing opportunity to feel like a model on one of the best day's of my life. I am beaming with excitement, I can't wait!
