You may visit the ruins via planned tour or on your own. We visited on our own (without tour) and had a blast! Suggestion, bring some water, a snack, sunblock, a hat, swim gear and a towel! There is a beautiful beach on the property and you can take a dip! Tip: Try to arrive early in the morning due to the sun, there is limited shade.

No need to bring gym gear, most people just work out in their bathers. It costs about $30 for a day pass. Take a photo with this picturesque Tulum statue. South African artist Daniel Popper, known for his massive figurative sculptures, has constructed a new artwork as part of an arts and culture festival in Tulum, Mexico. The towering installation is titled Ven a la Luz (come into the light), and is comprised of wood and rope formed into a female figure. Her torso is filled with lush green plants, which creates an archway for viewers to walk through. In 2019, the piece was permanently installed outside AHAU Tulum Hotel. Tip: The best time to visit this sculpture is early in the morning before the crowds.
Enjoy one of the hidden secrets of Tulum: the Kaan Luum lagoon, a spectacular natural site decorated with mangroves. Its crystal clear turquoise blue waters are waiting to be explored. About 30min from Dreams Tulum resort, 300 pesos per person (about $15 US). Suggest taking some snacks and drinks and a book and spending a few hours here relaxing.
The Jungle Place is a licensed sanctuary for the endangered Spider Monkey. They rescue and rehabilitate orphaned monkeys who were victims of the illegal pet trade, poaching, habitat destruction and exploitation. The in-person tours they offer to help support the sanctuary are the very definition of sustainable and ecologically responsible tourism. Visit in-person to meet the owners and the monkeys, view the facilities and habitat, and see first-hand the level of care that your donation helps provide. Be sure to reserve your tour well in advance, as they allow only a very limited number of visits per week. Tours of our sanctuary and grounds are available only with advance reservations. The minimum donation for an in-person tour is US$80.00 per person and tours generally last about 1 hour. 100% of all tour donations go to the care and feeding of rescued animals.
