Best Woman
Jessica (known to all Nashville buds as BK Jess) lives in Brooklyn where she is an archivist and arbiter of all things cool, witchy and internets. Jess is the daughter of one of Heather's mom's best buds, Joanne, and Heather used to babysit Jess when she was a peanut. As grown ups they spend their time trading book, streaming and podcast recommendations, texting each other memes, and planning their next travel adventure.
Best Woman
Terri is Dan’s big sister and his inspiration for going into medicine. These two are always moving, they even biked across Alaska a few years ago. Most days you can find Terri in the Oregon woods with her fur babies; or singing in a choral group (she’s got pipes, just like their mom).
Groom’s Daughters
Stella is an everything talent girl who lives in D.C with her mom. She will need to know all your pets’ names and what they like to do—consider bringing pictures. Marlo lives in Boston where she is making the world a better place for all of us. She’s been accepted at every graduate program she applied to and is considering her options.
Bride's Grandparents
Nene and Frank are especially close with Heather and are very fond of Dan. Nene is still a beauty at 93 and she and Heather like to snuggle and giggle together. Frank is a retired pastor who makes entertaining and insightful Facebook posts and is a huge OU football fan #boomersooner. Frank still calls Nene, "my bride," they are #relationshipgoals
Bride's Stepmom
Nancy has been in Heather's life since she was a little girl. When Heather was eight, Nancy made a whole wardrobe of "Little House" inspired clothing for Heather. Nancy rocked a blue, shiny spandex bodysuit to the roller rink in the eighties—embarrassing at the time, but in retrospect, pretty impressive.
Bride's Brothers
Heather’s much younger brothers, Big-little (Eli) and Little-little (Luke), will walk Heather down the aisle on her wedding day. Eli, often mistaken for a Viking, supervises projects in Nashville’s booming real estate development. Luke is a talented musician, singer and songwriter and he cooks up delicious meals in one of Nashville’s fine dining establishments.
Groom's Brother, Groomsman
Scott, Dan’s big brother, is his lifetime tennis buddy. When Scott isn’t traveling the world with his family, he’s playing tennis in his backyard in Greenwich, Connecticut.
Groomsmen
Ricky and Robby-boy have been friends with Little Danny since kindergarten in Queens. These three stay close after all these years with regular chats and an annual boys’ trip.
Flower Girl
Heather’s niece loves shoes, bacon and her daddy. We hope she’ll scatter flowers for us on the day of the wedding but she kinda does her own thing, so who knows.
Ring Bearer
Heather’s nephew looks exactly like his daddy but is smart like his momma. Harrison is obsessed with trucks, so we may need to tie the rings to a truck on our wedding day.
Bridesmaid
Keme has lived in Japan, is a black belt and a documentary filmmaker, and is like a little sister to Heather. She and Heather have spent a lot of time at the country auction and her dad's junk store and they also communicate in dolphin noises.
Bridesmaid
Penny and Heather have been friends since high school. In the early nineties they stayed out all night dancing at raves but now they just want to eat dinner and go to bed early. You can usually find Penny on the ice with her co-ed hockey team.
Bridesmaid
Jojo and Heather first met in the 90s in Nashville. Jo has an inspirational quote for every situation and she's not afraid to use it. She's the yang to Heather's yin and they are soul sisters for life.
