After a few messages on Match.com, Dan and Heather had dinner at Park Cafe. Dan brought Heather a “Detox Box” wrapped in Christmas paper—it was January 26th. On their second date, Dan made Heather a perfectly seared scallop, she was impressed. That fall, Dan took Heather to San Miguel De Allende, Mexico for her birthday. She had promised to love Dan forever if he took her to Mexico, so she was trapped. The commute from East Nashvile to Franklin was rough, so they decided to rent a house together. They didn’t like each other’s sofas, so they had to buy a new one. Furniture—this was getting serious. After a few years in their rental, Dan and Heather decided to get married—no, wait—buy a house. They made a timeline of one year to plan and look, then bought a house that wasn’t even finished being built a week later. A year and a half after moving into their house, Dan surprised Heather at his birthday celebration with a proposal. She was very, very surprised! They were kinda already married and she figured they would just make it legal at some point. Dan wanted a wedding, he likes people, parties, crowds. Heather wanted to elope to Mexico, she likes alone time and naps. They agreed to have a small celebration with 20 or so people. They made their guest list—of 100 people—and Heather conceded, we are having a wedding. Don't worry, Heather's all-in on the whole wedding thing now, she did get a dress within a week of the proposal. If you know the happy couple then you know what to expect at their wedding. Great food, music, people and a lot of love. They can’t wait to celebrate with you!
