When should I RSVP by?

Invites will be sent out later in Spring of 2026. Please check back for an RSVP date and note the deadline!

Will there be transportation provided to the events at the venue?

Answer

For the Friday night sangeet and the Saturday wedding events, we will be providing transportation only to and from the hotels listed in the Travel & Lodging page of the wedding website. We are still currently working on the exact schedule for transportation - please check back later!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your children, but we are keeping this party adults only due to space limitations and therefore we are unable to accommodate children at this time. Please refer to the names specified on your invitation.

Can I bring a plus-one or a random person I met at a coffee shop?

Answer

We love you and we love a good "meet cute", but we physically cannot fit any extra souls at the venue without someone having to sit on the wedding cake! Please refer to the names specified on your invitation.

How should I dress for October Fall in New York?

Answer

We all love Fall on the East Coast, especially in the Hudson Valley! We recommend you dress warmly in general and for the events we recommend bringing warm accessories (shawls, pashminas, etc.,). The sangeet and wedding reception will both be tented.

Do I have to wear Indian wedding attire?

Answer

We would absolutely love to see our guests embrace Indian attire throughout the wedding weekend, but it is completely up to you! You are more than welcome to wear Indian wedding guest attire for our events, or you are also more than welcome to wear more modern American wedding guest attire. We want you to feel comfortable! Either way, please ensure it is aligned to our dress code. The bride and groom will be in traditional Indian attire / Indo-western attire throughout the wedding weekend and events. Feel free to message the bride if you have any questions!

Uhhhh.. so what even is a Sangeet?!

Fair question! It is a pre-wedding Event - vibrant celebration that involves singing, dancing & music, where both families and friends come together to enjoy fun performances, celebrate the couple, mingle and strengthen bonds before the wedding. Food and alcohol will be provided.

What should I wear to a Sangeet?

Answer

Indian attire - bright, vibrant and festive colors and outfits. Lehengas, sharara's/garara's, anarkalis, indo-western for women. Sherwani, jodhpuri/bandhgala suits, kurtas, kurtas + vests/jackets for men. Mojari shoes. Western Attire - bright, vibrant and festive colors and outfits. Cocktail dresses or jumpsuits for women. Suit for men. Shoes you are comfortable dancing in.

What colors are recommended at an Indian wedding?

Answer

Please refrain from wearing full black or white for the wedding weekend, refrain from burgundy on Saturday - otherwise, all other colors are fair game! Indian weddings are typically colorful and filled with vibrant & detailed shades and tones.

What type of shoes should I wear to Friday and Saturday events?

Answer

For women, we recommend either flats or if wearing heels, make sure they are block heels for events both days. For men, typical shoe attire for formal events will be suffice. Mojaris are a good choice if wearing Indian attire. Whatever you choose though, make sure you are ready to pop, lock & drop it both nights!

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We want you to turn off your phones and refrain from taking pictures so you can enjoy the ceremony to the fullest with us! We have hired a professional photographer who will capture all of the beautiful moments during the ceremony, and we will share those photos with each of you!
