If you're looking for a beach, this one's a little south of San Francisco and its so stunning. They have a Taco Bell right on the water.
If you want to get to SF from the East Bay by boat, the ferry is amazing! They have a little cafe and it's a scenic and relaxing boat ride across the bay for like under ten dollars, and you can use your Clipper fare card (for Chicagoans, the Clipper card is like your Ventra). Just hop on the ferry from Jack London Square in Oakland. The Ferry Building in SF has great food.
