Things To Do

If you have the time (and a car), we recommend checking out US National Whitewater Center. You can easily spend a whole day here - rock climbing, trail riding, or kayaking. You can also just enjoy a beer and people watch! South End is a good part of town to walk around, bar or brewery hop, and grab a bite to eat. Freedom Park is also great for a walk and some sunshine. If you are bringing your kids, check out the Mecklenburg County Parks & Rec site for the closest parks to your lodging. Urban Mill District/Seoul Food is a kid friendly food hall with a playground and splash pad out back, and a couple play centers on the inside. If you are looking for specific restaurant recs, some of our favorites include Yunta, Osteria Luca, Hellenic, Kid Cashew, 300 East, and Napa on Providence for mid tier restaurants. Moosehead, Sir Ed's, and Roasting Co are some of our more casual favorites.

Charlotte Regional Farmers Market

1801 Yorkmont Road, Charlotte, NC 28217

We love hitting up this farmers market on Saturday mornings! While their fruit and veggie selection is robust, they also have great plants and flowers, and some artisan vendors selling everything from candles, herb blends, kombucha, and loose leaf teas. | Because of the location, this is probably best for guests who have their own car.

South End Farmers Market

2000 South Boulevard, Charlotte, NC 28203

This is another Saturday morning farmers market, and it will bring you right to the heart of South End. Great for crafts, people watching, and positioning yourself near a good brunch or lunch spot.

Rally

101 Southside Drive, Charlotte, NC 28217

Commercial pickleball courts with both coffee and libations offered inside.
