FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Formal attire is requested. No jeans or casual clothing please! Example: Men- suit and tie Women- long dress/gown

Question

Can I bring my children to the wedding?

Answer

While we love your children, our wedding and reception will be adults-only. We’re so honored that you’re coming to celebrate with us and want to make your trip as easy as possible! If you’re traveling with your kids and need to find trusted childcare, please reach out to Dana for a list of trusted babysitters in the area who can watch your children during the wedding reception. *If you know a friend who also needs a sitter for the night, it might be a good idea to get a babysitter for multiple families that night to make things easier!

Question

What is the wedding venue like?

Answer

Nuptials will be held inside at HNOJ Cathedral in Raleigh, cocktail hour will be held outside at The Sutherland in Wake Forest, and the reception will be held inside (with access to outdoor patio and grounds) at The Sutherland.

Question

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

We will have appetizers, dinner and dessert that already accommodate those with gluten sensitivities. If you have any sensitivities to meat, dairy, etc, please let us know and we will try and accommodate as best as we can!

Question

Will there be any transportation provided between the church, hotel and reception venue?

Answer

We will not be providing any transportation between locations during our wedding day. It is about a 30 minute drive from the Cathedral to the Sutherland and about a 25 minute drive from the airport to Wake Forest. We highly suggest renting a car at the airport so you can get around as easily as possible or stop by a coffee shop or brewery in between the nuptial mass and cocktail hour. Uber or Lyft is an option as well!

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We recommend staying somewhere near the Sutherland (in Wake Forest, NC). Hotel suggestions are included on our “Travel” tab. There are also a number of Airbnb options in the area. If you choose to stay in Raleigh, closer to Holy Name of Jesus Cathedral/RDU airport, keep in mind that the reception will be held a 35 minute drive away.

Question

What time should I arrive to the nuptial mass?

Answer

Please arrive ~30 minutes before our wedding mass start time. Once mass begins, we will need everyone to be seated to ensure everything runs smoothly and no one is running to grab a seat while the wedding party is walking down the aisle. ;)

Question

How & when do I RSVP?

Answer

Just go to the RSVP page of our website and type in your name! The RSVP page can also be found by using the QR code on the back of your invitation. Please RSVP by March 9. If your name isn’t coming up, try only typing out your last name and select from the guest options that populate, or reach out to Dana or Arek to see if they put down a certain name for you (ie: if you have a nickname you usually go by).

Question

Do you have a gift registry?

Answer

We do! You can find it on our website under the „Registry” tab or here: https://www.zola.com/registry/danaandarek
