On our RSVP page you can sign in and let us know if you'll be able to make it.
From the Guemes Island Ferry dock, its about a 5 mile drive to the cabin, which is located at 4888 North Indian Village Lane, Anacortes, WA. On Saturday afternoon and evening there will be a shuttle to transport people to and from the ferry dock and around the island. If you are coming from Anacortes, its best to leave your vehicle at the Anacortes ferry dock. If you are staying on Guemes Island, its best to leave your vehicle and call the shuttle (928-420-3538) to pick you up and take you to the cabin. PARKING IS VERY LIMITED AT THE JEWELL CABIN If you would like suggestions for how to avoid needing to have your vehicle at the cabin, call Adair or Dana to talk it over.
Whatever makes you feel good! This is an outdoor event, so comfortable, casual wear is perfectly acceptable, but if you've been waiting to wear that outlandish cocktail dress/fancy suit/flashy accessories, we'd love to see that too! We love your creativity and individuality, and invite you to don whatever makes you feel festive and celebratory. Must have garb: Sunglasses - sunset across the straight is gorgeous, but bright, you'll be happy you brought them. Layers - August highs are around 72, with lows around 55. It will cool off after dark. Umbrella - while not likely, it could rain at any time. It is the Pacific North West after all! A note on shoes: The ground is grassy and sandy, it might not be the best place to whip out those spike heels, you'll be happier in chunky heels or flats A note on party gear: we will have bon fires after sunset, if you don't want your party duds forever smelling like a camp fire, consider bringing a wardrobe change for later in the evening.
Our Caterer, First Church of Pizza, will be serving an array of pizza choices that accommodate gluten free, vegetarian and vegan diets. Feel free to contact Adair or Dana if you have specific food concerns.
Yes bring your kiddos! We wont be providing childcare. However the ceremony will be short and sweet and hopefully not too hard to sit through. Please do keep in mind that we will be right next to a large body of water with all of the potential dangers that might present to exploring toddlers.
Unless it is a pet rock, we kindly ask that you leave all your furry ones with a critter sitter. Thanks for understanding
Parking at the Jewell cabin is VERY limited. We have a shuttle running from 2:30pm until midnight to transport you to and from the ferry dock or where ever you are staying on the Island. If you do need to bring your vehicle to the Jewell Cabin for whatever reason (maybe you are camping here for example), let us know in your RSVP so we can make necessary arrangements.
Sorry, no hotel block. See our travel page for suggested lodging on Guemes and in Anacortes.
Unfortunately there won't be wheelchair accessible bathrooms available. The Ceremony and partying will take place outdoors, over a grassy, fairly flat yard.
After the ceremony we will dive right in to hangin out and celebrating! Some of you may be asked to participate in arranged picture-taking with Adair and Dana, but we promise we wont hold you hostage for long. Pizza will be served at 6:00pm
