we're getting married!

To put an exact date of when we first met is going to be a tough one... There are two things we know for sure: 1. We met during the summer 2. We met at Rock-N-Water Christian Adventure Camp Dana & Caleb were both campers at RNW starting 2011/2012. Caleb eventually began working as a guide in 2016 while Dana was still attending yearly as a camper. Caleb, being a guide for Dana's group multiple years in a row, continually asked her to apply to work there, as he thought she would be a great guide. Dana began working at RNW in 2020. More years went by and in Fall of 2021, Dana & Caleb began dating. Summer of 2022 will be their third year working together at RNW and their first year as a couple. They are extremely excited to continue doing ministry together for the rest of their lives.

In April, Dana & Caleb took a trip to visit family in Florida. During the second day of the trip, they took a boat to a private island off the coast of Florida. Once they anchored at North Captiva Island, Dana & Caleb grabbed some diving masks and began the search for seashells. Little to Dana's knowledge, Caleb found a beautiful shell that was empty inside but was still intact. Perfect for a ring to fit inside. About an hour later, Caleb asked Dana to walk along the shore and continue hunting for shells. Playing off as if he had just picked up a beautiful shell, he asked her to come over and take a closer look. Then he bent down on one knee and asked, "Dana Marie, will you marry me?" There was only one thing that came to mind, Yes. Without a doubt, yes.
