Wedding Party

Laura Wright

Matron of Honor

If there is someone that knows Holly, it's Laura. Since day one, Laura has looked out for her little sister. Laura made sure Holly learned some of life's important lessons such a patience, compromise, and how to use a walkie talkie to communicate when you are sent to separate rooms for time out. She was there for Holly when she got her leg stuck in a boat and broke it at three. She taught Holly how to pack a bag and run away from home to the neighbor's front yard at six. She taught Holly perseverance as she tried to pretend she wasn't related to Holly in the early 2000's. She even took Holly out in her fancy white Cadillac with red leather seats in high school to explore the roads and listen to music that their parents didn't allow them to listen to. As adults, Laura and Holly share a passion for helping people and making important changes in the world. They also love a good Harry Potter fan theory. There couldn't be a better person to be Holly's Matron of Honor!

Nick Stern

Best Man

Nick - Best Man, Brother Nick is Brandon's older brother and proud cat dad to Pepper and Pocket who have never bit Brandon, even though Nick did once. From the very beginning, Nick was steering his little brother's future, quite literally by dragging him across the floor as an infant. Doctors call it tummy time. Nick calls it building character. Nick also had a skateboarding phase, which he pursued with moderate heart and even more bandages. Watching Nick come home scraped up most times was deeply formative. It taught Brandon that there were other ways to get an adrenaline rush that didn't involve contact with concrete, so he took up surfing, skiing, kiteboarding, mountain biking, and scuba diving instead. After convincing his little brother to play trumpet in elementary school because he thought it was cool, going to Ithaca College, and generally leaving a trail of moderately valuable life advice in his wake, Nick made his most consequential decision yet. He moved to LA. Brandon eventually followed and is immensely grateful Nick motivated him to move out west (the place Brandon also just happened to meet Holly). He has always been Brandon's biggest supporter, except when he's making fun of him, but that's all coming from the heart. Nick says it builds character. We're starting to see a theme. Brandon couldn't imagine a better best man.
