Hotel

Castello Di Ristonchi

4-7 Località Ristonchi Borgo, Pelago, Toscana 50060, Italy

We are so excited to welcome you to our stunning venue! All wedding events will be held at the castle. Ristonchi Castle is a rustic, 1,000-year-old, medieval castle and as such, you can expect a unique, cozy, and charming stay - without some of the traditional hotel chain amenities. There won't be daily cleanings, but all the basics will be provided for you (such as clean sheets, towels, pillows, blankets, toilet paper, soap and shampoo). The rooms are traditional Tuscan style, and some bathrooms are small and quirky. Some rooms are apartment style meaning that you may share a bathroom with another couple. Where this applies, we’ve paired family and friends accordingly. There is no air conditioning in the summer, but the thick stone walls and mountain breeze keep the lodging cool. The castle is secluded and on top of the hillside so please bring everything special (like medication) you'll need for the weekend with you. We hope you enjoy this authentic experience!

Travel Note

SHUTTLE TO AND FROM FLORENCE & THE CASTLE

On Friday, May 31st between 2-3pm, there will be a shuttle located at the main train station in Florence (Florence Santa Maria Novella) which will take guests directly to the castle. The bus will leave promptly at 3:00pm. It is located at the train station exit. There is a small tunnel that will bring you to the buses. The bus stop location is Montelungo 50129 Firenze. The buses will have signage with our names on them. It’s about a 1-hour ride to the castle. Because the castle is located perched on top of a steep hill, the bus will park at the base of the hill and smaller shuttles will transport guests to the castle. Please contact Taryn Tomczyk if you have questions (570-677-3345). On Monday, June 3rd, at 11:00am, there will be a shuttle leaving the castle and dropping guests off at both the Florence airport and the Florence Santa Maria Novella train station.

Travel Note

VENDORS FOR LATE ARRIVAL OR EARLY DEPARTURE

We understand that some of you may need to leave before the scheduled departure time. We recommend scheduling a car transport in advance as taxis do not travel far from Florence. To book, please see a couple of vendor options below (you’ll find additional options via Google search). In addition, Castello di Ristonchi has a small private car service. So if you’re having trouble solidifying a booking, please let me know and I will help you arrange a ride through the castle directly. https://www.transfercs.com/ https://prestigerent.com/transfers/
