Dalton and Caroline met online, just like how Grandpa and Grandma did back in the day. According to Caroline, Dalton was taking too long to make the first move, so thankfully she asked him out on the first date. The evening began with drinks at The Whiskey Exchange in downtown South Bend, followed by Madison Oyster Bar where the two played pool (and Caroline won for the first and only time). ────────────

Dalton and Caroline, along with Caroline's newly adopted dog Corby, were walking along the East Bank Trail where Dalton mustered up the courage to say the words he had already known were true for a while. Thanks for being a great wingman, Corby. ────────────

To throw Caroline off the scent, Dalton had planned fake dinner reservations at a restaurant that was conveniently located along the East Bank Trail. As the couple walked past the spot where they first said "I Love You", Dalton got down on a knee and popped the question (Spoiler alert: she said yes). After wiping away some tears and recomposing themselves, the newly engaged couple walked to Dalton's parents house to surprise them with the good news. But in reality, Caroline's friends and family were already there waiting for a surprise celebration.
