Casually drive along the famous 17-mile drive in Pebble Beach and make stops along many of the scenic lookout points. Entrance to the Del Monte Forest where the drive begins, $10.25 fee but well worth the experience. As you enter, make sure to get a map from the station.
Visit the world class Monterey Bay Aquarium. We recommend you buy tickets online in advance to avoid waiting in the long line to enter during tourist season.
Grab a bowl of clam chowder at Monterey Bay Fisherman's Wharf. Restaurants offer samples of their chowder at the door to entice you in.
And don't forget to indulge in some Ghirardelli ice cream at the shop on Cannery Row.
Walk around the romantic and quaint downtown of Pacific Grove and check out all the local shops.
Known for its authentic Italian, make sure you try “the Prince” for dessert! You'll never forget it!
Picnic on the benches at Lover's Point or plan to spend the afternoon at this small protected beach area. You may want to rent a kayak or paddle board to further enjoy the bay.
Rent a bike at Adventures By the Sea and ride or walk along the stunning Monterey Bay Coastal Recreation Trail ("The Bike Path"). During the spring and early summer watch for mother seals and their babes that enjoy the shore along the path.
Walk the touristy and posh downtown Carmel-By-the-Sea in Carmel, Californian and Ocean Avenue. Make sure you hit the shops and art galleries on the way down to the beach at the end of Ocean Ave.
