FAQs

Question

Is the wedding just the one day?

Answer

No! We have booked the lodge for June 25-27 and would love to have all our loved ones join us for a weekend getaway. While we sadly can't fit everyone at the lodge, we highly recommend the hotels in town, and transportation to/from the lodge will be arranged.

Question

Is there parking at the lodge?

Answer

Unfortunately there is not enough parking for everyone at the lodge, however there is a FREE overflow parking lot (overnight parking not permitted) in town which is only a 5 minute drive away!

Question

Where is the free parking located?

Answer

The free overflow parking lot is a grassy field located at Hot Springs Road and Miami River Drive, with the entrance being off of Miami River Drive. Pin to overflow lot: https://maps.app.goo.gl/TPe2TMNFueKgEmvC8

Question

How do we get to the lodge from the overflow parking or hotels if theres no parking at the lodge?

Answer

On the day of the wedding, we will have a shuttle service bringing guests from the parking/hotels to the lodge and back at the end of the night. Outside of the wedding day, we can use our personal vehicles to shuttle guests to and from the lodge (just give Dallas or Dani a call and we will arrange someone to pick you up).

Question

What time should I be ready for the shuttle?

Answer

On the day of the wedding the shuttle will do rounds between the free overflow parking lot (overnight parking not permitted) and the hotels our guests are staying at (please give Dallas or Dani a heads up what hotel you are staying at so we can make sure the shuttle stops for you). At the beginning of the event the shuttle will run between 2:45pm and 3:45pm to ensure everyone is at the venue for the ceremony at 4:00pm. At the end of the night the shuttle will run from 10:00pm to 11:45pm.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

While we would love to include everyone, we are operating under limited space. So unfortunately unless you're given a 'plus one', we ask that you please celebrate with us solo. If you have been given an plus one, they will be linked to your name when you RSVP. Thanks for your understanding.

Question

Can I bring my children to the wedding?

Answer

As much as we love your little ones, we will not be including them in the welcome dinner, ceremony or reception. We hope this gives parents a chance to relax and enjoy the weekend with us!

Question

How/when do I RSVP?

Answer

We kindly ask you to let us know if you will be attending by February 1st, 2027, so we have an accurate headcount. There is a "RSVP" tab on our website that allows you to RSVP for yourself and anyone in your group to each event you will be attending.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We would love to see our family and friends dress up for our big day. Please wear summer semi formal attire. As for footwear, the wedding is outdoors with lots of grassy areas, so please wear chunky heels, flats or sandals. Basically just no stilettos!

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony will be outdoors with the reception being both inside and outside. Please check the weather ahead of time and dress accordingly!

Question

Is it okay to take photos with our phones or cameras during the wedding?

Answer

We will be having an unplugged wedding and want to connect with the people closest to us. So put your phones away, and just have fun! There will be a photographer taking amazing photos so there will be no shortages of photos for memories.

Question

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for. We are not doing a traditional gift registry, but if you would like to give something, a contribution towards our future together would be truly appreciated.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! Our recommended hotels are all under the "accommodations" tab.

Question

Is there anywhere else I can stay if I don't want to stay at a hotel?

Answer

Yes! There are several beautiful rec sites (first come first serve camp sites) right on the lake just up the logging road from the lodge. We have camped there in the past and highly recommend it!

Question

Should I bring a bathing suit?

Answer

Yes!! If you plan on coming for more than just the ceremony day, bring a swimsuit, picnic chairs and even some kayaks if you'd like as the lodge has its own private beach and dock.
