Downtown DC is best accessible by Metro. The closest Metro station to our wedding site is Ashburn Metro Station via the Silver Line. Please be aware that the train ride to central DC is 1 hour.
Old Town Alexandria is a historic waterfront neighborhood along the Potomac River, just a short drive from Fairfax and Washington, D.C. It’s one of the oldest neighborhoods in the D.C. region (founded in 1749) and a well-preserved historic district. The main strip, King Street, is lined with boutiques, restaurants, art galleries, and antique shops.
Eden Center is a large Vietnamese-American shopping center just outside Fairfax (in nearby Falls Church). It’s widely known as the largest Vietnamese commercial hub on the U.S. East Coast. It has 120+ shops, restaurants, and businesses, many family-owned. The center is a cultural hub for the Vietnamese-American community, hosting events like Lunar New Year (Tết) celebrations. Its design features landmarks inspired by Vietnam, including a clock tower modeled after Saigon’s Bến Thành Market.

The Smithsonian National Zoological Park (often called the National Zoo) is a major public zoo in Washington, D.C., and part of the Smithsonian Institution. Home to 2,000+ animals across 300+ species, including elephants, lions, and great apes. Famous for its giant pandas, which have long been a highlight of the zoo.
