There's plenty to explore—and eat and drink—in and around Crested Butte. Here are a few of our favorite places. (We have plenty more recommendations, though—just ask!)
Hike
The aspens will be turning gold in September, so get outside and enjoy them with some of the area's top hikes. Just remember: Bring water, wear sunscreen, and prepare to be out-of-breath (high elevations are no joke!).
Fall Drives
Have a car? Grab your camera and set out on any of these drives (Kebler Pass is a quintessential Colorado drive) to see the fall foliage.
Mountain Bike
Experience CB on two wheels. (Need a rental? Check out Big Al's Bicycle Heaven at 207 Elk Avenue.)
The Secret Stash
303 Elk Avenue, Crested Butte, CO
The best pizza in town!
Pitas in Paradise
302 Elk Avenue, Crested Butte, CO
Gyros, salads, and the best curly fries in town. Oh, and the beer list is stellar.
The Dogwood
309 3rd Street, Crested Butte, CO
Fancy cocktails. A+ bartenders. Chill atmosphere.
Montanya Distillers
212 Elk Avenue, Crested Butte, CO
Local rum distillery. (They serve food, too!)
Camp 4 Coffee
402 1/2 Elk Avenue, Crested Butte, CO
Small-batch, locally roasted coffee. Look for the license plate-covered building.
