Answer

Nope. Your presence is the greatest gift and we have everything we need. Most importantly, we've found each other. <3

Is the event black tie? How formal should we be?

Answer

No. But for those of you who are not familiar with Arab culture, we like to shine and sparkle. So gentlemen, you will not be overdressed in a full suit. Ladies, most of the women in the bride's family will likely be in full length gowns. Non-binary friends, SHINE!

Are children allowed?

Answer

Short answer is no. This is an adult event and we want you to have all the adult fun you can manage. If you would like to arrange for child care that evening please let us know and we'll try and help you make arrangements with local family friends. There will be several little ones traveling long distances to be at this reception and their parents have been notified.

Should we stay at the Hilton Garden Inn for our whole stay?

Answer

Nah. The hotel block is just for the night of the wedding. It is in a rural area about one hour from NYC and anything cool other than rolling hills and some shopping plazas. We wanted to have a place for everyone to stay at with shuttle service to and from the wedding venue so you don't have to worry about driving. There are examples of AirBnB's on the travel page of neighborhoods and towns to stay at before or after the wedding. PLEASE pay attention to specific neighborhoods as it can be a difference of a good time and a scary time for our west coast mountain desert family. <3
