Airport Transport – The BBC is located about 45 minutes from the airport, and you will need a taxi or rental car to get there. • When you arrive at the airport there are MANY taxis lined up just outside of customs. We will let taxi drivers know in advance that we have many people coming in on the same flight for the wedding so there should be drivers on standby with signs that say Wood/Armstrong Wedding. Most of the taxis are mini-vans or Suburbans and we recommend you share the ride with other guests as it is typically $90-$100 each way. Plan to bring cash to pay for taxis. • For your return to the airport, unless you have rented a car, it is best to schedule a taxi. Taxis for the airport should be scheduled at least one day before you depart. Contact Pastor Jensonn via whatsapp (242) 577-6727, or the front desk to schedule. • The airport is very small, and you must be checked in at the counter 1 hour before your BOARDING time or they will not allow you onto the flight. The people working the counter are also working the gate, so they completely close an hour prior to departure. Again – we recommend that you talk to other guests and share the cost of a taxi to the airport as nearly everyone will be on the same flights.
Treasure Cay is a small community and if you are just staying a few days for the wedding there really is no need for a car. Everything is within walking distance from the Bahama Beach Club with the exception of the Wedding Venue which is about 2 miles away. Transportation will be provided between the BBC and The Ceremony/Reception venue. • Golf Carts – most non-residents get around via golf cart. Golf carts can be rented directly from Cash’s Carts (242-365-8771) and will be delivered to the Beach Club. The Beach Club is also happy to assist in golf cart rental if you email or phone them. If you would like your own transportation to the wedding venue, or just to see a bit more of the island, a golf cart is the best option. • Bikes – the Beach Club will assist with bike rentals if this is something you would like to do. It is fun to bike to the different beaches on the island. It is always best to rent bikes in advance as there are only a limited number available to rent. • Taxi – there are always taxis available. Contact Pastor Jensonn via whatsapp (242) 577-6727, or the front desk to schedule. • Car Rental – unless you just want a car to get to and from the airport or are staying for a long period of time, you really do not need a car. If you would like to rent a car you can do so when you arrive at the Marsh Harbor Airport.
Restaurants are limited in Treasure Cay and we recommend that you have grocery items in your Condo for breakfast. Coffee and coffee makers are in all of the Condo’s which can be replenished as needed. • Bahama Beach Club – This is the location for both the Welcome Party and the Rehearsal Dinner. Lunch and dinner are served daily. It is basic island food, with options for Salads and Burgers if you do not eat seafood. • Florence’s Café and Bakery – BRING CASH AS CARDS ARE NOT ACCEPTED. Florence has been open for as long as we have been going to the Bahamas. She is open daily at 8am for breakfast offering eggs/bacon, breakfast sandwiches and her famous cinnamon rolls. There is not fresh fruit available unless you get groceries. Florence’s is walking distance from the BBC. • Treasure Sands – Treasure Sands is the only upscale dining available in Treasure and is the location for the Wedding/Reception. It is approximately 2 miles from the BBC. Dinner is weekends only. If you would like to have lunch at Treasure Sands you will need to go by golf cart or arrange for a taxi. • Sunset Pizza – Sunset Pizza is another option for lunch or dinner and is located 2 miles from the BBC directly across from (and owned by) Treasure Sands. They offer great sourdough and gluten free pizza and salads. It is very good, but you will need a golf cart/bike or taxi to get there. If you would like Pizza delivered contact Jaydon (242-827-8820)) or Heneli (242-802-8381) via phone or Whatsapp. For a $20 fee (no tip needed) they will pick up your pizza and bring it to the condo. No worries for those that don’t get a chance to get there - we will have late night pizza after the reception • Convenience Store – There is a small convenience store that is walking distance from the BBC. They have a very limited selection of basics (milk, cereal, lunchmeat) but if you plan to eat breakfast/lunch in your room we definitely recommend ordering groceries in advance.
