July is early summer in Acadia National Park, which includes cool, sunny weather typically ranging from 15 to 22 degrees Celsius or 60-72 degrees Fahrenheit. We recommend packing layered clothing. If participating in pre-wedding adventures, we recommend hiking and swimming attire including hiking boots or study walking shoes, swimwear and sandals, insect repellent, sun protection and a rain/waterproof jacket. Do not forget your water bottle to stay hydrated! The events on Saturday will be black tie. Both the wedding ceremony and reception will be held on grass so please select footwear appropriately. The reception will be held outside in a tent so please consider a shawl or light cover up.
A national park pass is required for Park Loop Road, which provides access to most of Acadia National Park. We would recommend stopping by Hulls Cove Visitor Center upon arrival where you can purchase an entrance pass US$20-US$35. Alternatively, you could purchase a national park pass through the Recreation.gov website. For those interested in accessing Cadillac Mountain by vehicle, Cadillac Summit Road requires reservations for timed entry. Reservations are available for both sunrise and daytime.
Children are welcomed to join us for pre-wedding adventures (Wednesday, July 2nd through Friday, July 4th) however we request our wedding ceremony and reception (Saturday, July 5th) are for adults only. Please contact us for babysitting options as we will be gathering a list of local sitters (jessicamstan@gmail.com).
July 4th is Independence Day in the United States! It will fall on a Friday in 2025. We expect roads within the national park to be busier than normal given the long weekend. Many businesses may be closed on the Friday. However, there will be fireworks across the island on the 4th! We recommend staying local to your accommodation on Friday evening to avoid busier roads.
