Camping (Thursday - Monday)

4:00 pm

We have booked out all the camping at Fort Buenaventura in Odgen from Thursday at 4 pm until Monday 12:00 PM. We included these extra days before/after the wedding weekend in case anyone wants the added flexibility for a longer visit to the area. We plan to be setting things up Thursday evening. We expect most people will set up camp Friday afternoon/evening, but if you're traveling and camping you can set up as early as Thursday at 4:00 PM. Please RSVP "YES" if you plan to camp with us for any or all of these nights at the Fort campground. We need a count for how many people and tents/vans/campers we expect. If you plan to stay elsewhere during your weekend visit, RSVP "NO". If you're undecided on whether you'll camp, you can put "Will Attend" for now and send us a message if you eventually decide to stay elsewhere around town.

Group Bike Ride SLC-Ogden

11:00 am - 3:00 pm

We love silly group bike rides and both firmly believe adventures are way more fun when they start on a bike leaving from your house. So, of course, we want to bike from our house in SLC to our wedding in Ogden! On Friday, we will meet by our house near the Fairpark, hop on the Jordan River Trail <1 mile from our house and ride around 40 miles (mostly flat) up to Fort Buenaventura in Ogden. This event is purely optional! It will involve biking in the heat and sun for up to 4-5 hours. The expected high temperature is ~80 °F, but it can reach >90°F in early June, so we will plan some stops for popsicles and refreshments along the way. Please only join if that sounds fun (not miserable) to you. More details to come. We will arrange a gear drop off/shuttle to the Fort so bikers don't have to haul their camping stuff. Bike rentals are available and likely very affordable Attire: Bikes and party shirts - wear what ever you'd like for a 40 mile bike ride

Welcome Cocktails, Yard Games & Survivor Challenge

6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Come kick off the weekend with some mingling, yard games, and maybe even a fire-making challenge. We will provide beer, cocktails, and pizza! Attire: Get comfortable and bring out your best party shirt. Extra points for silly attire.

Coffee & Kolaches at the Campground

8:00 am - 10:00 am

Fuel up for the big day! No need to cook your own breakfast (unless you want to). We will provide coffee and Kolaches from one of our favorite restaurants in SLC Attire: Anything you want

Kickball Tournament

10:00 am - 12:00 pm

The main saturday morning event will be a kickball tournament! (It turns out that the disc golf course can't accomodate 120 public disc golfers for the disc golf scramble, woops!) We will meet in the field by the pond for a rousing kickball tournament!! Costumes appreciated. Attire: Comfy shoes for walking through the park and for kicking balls. Note: you are still welcome to play frisbee golf on the course in the morning ($5 fee to play, Bring-your-own discs), but there is a separate organized group playing the course on Sat morning, so please just be respectful when playing through.

Afternoon chill and ceremony prep time

12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

We will have a dressing tent/area with mirrors set up at the campground to get ready for the ceremony. A limited set of showers will be available on site ($5 per shower), and we will organize a pre-ceremony shower sign-up schedule as the date nears. Alternatively, you can also jump in the cool Weber River near the pavillion for free (this is a family event so please bring a swim suit!) Food/drink: You're on your own for lunch but we will have some snacks around camp, or you are free to explore Ogden area for good food options ~1 mile from the campground.

Lewis & Dale's Ceremony

4:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Food/drink: Spitz Mediterranean Buffet (served around 6pm) Attire: Wear anything that will make you feel happy and comfortable in potentially hot weather. If you want a guideline, search "garden attire" (sundresses, floral prints, shirts/pants/shorts with light hues, and fun hats). We recommend comfortable shoes because we will be dancing and walking a short distance between the two pavilions at the park. There may or may not be a costume box at the end of the night, if you want to come prepared for a late night costume change.

Pancake Pandemonium

10:00 am - 1:00 pm

We will cap off the wedding weekend with a big pancake breakfast at the campground. There will be lots of coffee and goodies for a post party hangout. Attire: anything comfortable
