Guests that are flying to Charleston, please know that starting May 7th you will need a Real ID to fly domestically.
Hotel
Hyatt Place Charleston / Historic District ~ $292 a night
***As of March 9th, the block of rooms is full. Please reach out to Mike and/or Erica if you are interested in staying at the Hyatt so more rooms can be added*** For your convenience, a block of rooms have been reserved at Hyatt Place Charleston/Historic District on King Street. The hotel is conveniently across the street from our welcome party location on Friday June 6 and where the transportation company will be picking up guests and taking them to the wedding. If you would like to stay at the hotel, please click the link or call 843-414-4900 and tell them that you are with the Dalberto Walsh wedding to receive a discount on the cost of the room. We have blocked two nights for guests from Friday June 6, 2025 to Sunday June 8, 2025 for $292 a night. If you would like to stay more than two nights, they will honor the discount between June 5th-9th. There are no extra fees for the hotel other than a 14% tax. There is also a public parking garage which is $2 an hour or $18 a day.
Travel Note
Staying somewhere other than the Hyatt:
If you would prefer to stay close to the water and not at the Hyatt, we recommend Folly Beach. However, please note that the Trolley company can not accommodate picking up guests that are not at the predetermined downtown location outside of the Hyatt. If you choose to stay somewhere else downtown, we recommend parking at the Hyatt and taking the transportation company to the wedding as ubering can be very limited on Johns Island if you choose not to take the Trolleys to and from downtown.
