House Or Rental
There are plenty of airbnb options in the city! If you feel like living like a real New Yorker - make sure its a 4-story walk up at the very least. Bonus points if the head and foot of the bed are both touching walls.
Train
Don't let the subway intimidate you! It is the best way to get around the city. It will save you both time and money as you're exploring. Google Maps does a great job of telling you which trains to take.
Travel Note
Once you've arrived at the airport, either call an Uber, jump in the taxi line or take the subway. Would avoid taking a ride from uber/taxi drivers who approach you on foot asking if you need a ride. NYC is very safe. There are 38K+ police officers in this city - including the handsome groom. But please be mindful of your belongings as you're exploring! Do not keep cell phones and wallets in your back pocket and do not leave your purse or coat unattended. New Yorkers get a bad rap for being rude but truly most New Yorkers are eager to help tourists out with any questions! Don't be afraid to stop someone and ask for help.
