Dakota and Mitch first met working at Wingstop back in 2016, and it didn’t take long before their friendship turned into regular BBQs and fight nights. Over the years, Mitch started calling Dakota and Colton “Grandma and Grandpa” because they’re always the ones cooking, taking care of everyone, and sending him home with leftovers like a well-fed grandchild. And now the whole circle is even more connected — Alexa, who’s also in the wedding party, is engaged to Mitch, bringing everything full circle in the best way

Their friendship is built on constant joking, easy banter, and a shared love of cooking. Whether they’re swapping recipes, talking about what they’re grilling next, or just giving each other a hard time, they always manage to make each other laugh. Over time, that random parking-lot meeting turned into a solid, genuine friendship. In the beginning, Dakota wasn’t too sure about going on a date with layla, David told Dakota that “Layla was the one” and he needed to ditch all the other women he was considering going on dates with and to pursue only Layla
