Dakota and I met at Tom Thumb, a grocery store near where I lived. He stocked the shelves while I scanned the groceries. Summer 2016 is when our love story began. We spent the entire summer playing Pokémon Go, finding new parks which we would explore, enjoying picnics together, and getting to know each other. On August 27th 2016, he held my hand for the first time in the gardens of the Dallas Arboretum. Since that summer, we spent the following seasons studying at coffee shops, libraries, and anywhere with free wi-fi. As years went on, we continuously supported one another as we graduated, started our careers, and bought our first home. Now, we have two beautiful huskies, Mia and Aurora, that never seem to run out of energy; they always have something to complain about. We are overjoyed to begin this next chapter of our love story as we continue to support one another and grow together.
