We’re getting married!

Dakota and Alexzandra met through a mutual friend during a Gaming night at said friend's house, neither thinking anything of it at first. After a long night of video games, Cards Against Humanity, and drinking, they parted ways. A few months later they would meet again at a party. Suddenly, it was like fireworks. At least on his end. But Dakota was content to stay friends with Alexzandra if that was what she wanted. Through many parties, long nights talking, college shopping trips, beach naps, and car sing-alongs, Alexzandra found herself slowly falling for him. Finally, one day he mustered up the courage to ask her on a date. Sushi and the Brevard Zoo. And would you believe it, the rest is rust and stardust.

Anyone who knows Alexzandra knows how much she enjoys Halloween. She loves that it's during the Fall, everything is pumpkin flavored, and that all things spooky and Horror-Esque run amock. Dakota knew if he was going to propose, it was going to be around Halloween. And so he devised a plan. A plan that involved hiding the engagement ring right under her nose, inside the glove box of her car. Involved weeks of secret planning with her friend Reign and carving pumpkin after pumpkin by hand until all feeling was lost. Weeks and weeks of planning until finally, October 30th, 2020, it was time. Together they dinned at their favorite restaurant, Alexzandra none the wiser. After they headed to a pumpkin patch, taking pictures of fat and juicy pumpkins before deciding on the juiciest of them all. And finally, a cool stroll through the park, where they gazed at the stars and ate chocolate chip muffins under a gazebo. Arriving home, he covered her eyes, leading her slowly across the doorway. When she opened her eyes Dakota was down on one knee. Candles and fairy lights lay scattered amongst the ground, the scent of roses and pumpkin permeating the air. Of course, she said yes, after many, many tears were shed between the two of them. Their promise was sealed with a pumpkin flavored kiss.
