A pabitin is a traditional Filipino party game featuring a square bamboo lattice, or rack, suspended from a ceiling or tree. It is laden with small toys, snacks, and candies tied with strings. The goal is for children to jump and grab as many goodies as possible while the rack is raised and lowered.
The Money Dance has many different iterations in many cultures across the world. In Filipino tradition money is pinned/attached to the newlyweds as they dance together.
A Filipino Catholic wedding has traditional rituals and symbols. •Wedding Rings: Rings are exchanged and placed on the couple's left hands. •Arrhae or Coins: The couple exchanges the arrhae, a symbol of their promise of provision to one another. There are 13 coins to represent Christ and the 12 disciples. •Unity Veil: A veil is placed over the couple's shoulders and heads, symbolizing their unity and the community's support. •Unity Cord: A cord is placed on the couple, symbolizing the unbroken bond of their union. •Unity Candle: The couple lights a unity candle, representing the joining of their two individual lives and families into one.
