Note the $20 entry fee is cash-only. You can find several roundtrip transportation options from town or drive the 20 minutes to the hot springs.
From bull riding and barrel racing to live music and BBQ, the Steamboat Pro Rodeo is a fun way to experience Steamboat’s cowboy roots. The rodeo runs Friday night, and the energy is always high—boots and hats optional, but highly encouraged!

Stretching 7.5 miles along the river through town, the Yampa River Core Trail is perfect for a walking, biking, or a peaceful morning jog. With scenic river views, wildlife (and tubing!) sightings, and easy access to parks and downtown, it’s a great way to enjoy Steamboat at your own pace.
Find your beach! Just a short drive from town, Stagecoach Reservoir is a beautiful lake surrounded by rolling hills and mountain views. Enjoy paddleboarding, boating, swimming, kayaking, fishing, or just lounging by the water on a sunny day.
A relaxing (and refreshing!) way to enjoy Steamboat’s scenic Yampa River views. Grab a tube from several downtown outfitters, kick back, and float through the mountains! The float can be as long or as short as you’d like, and there are plenty of riverside stops like parks, restaurants, and bars along the way.
