Our Story

The blind date - the old school kind.

If you’re reading this, you can thank Aunt Ene — a.k.a. matchmaker extraordinaire. Ene and Daisy met while working together and quickly became close friends. Somewhere along the way, Ene decided her nephew Andrew would be just perfect for Daisy. She may have mentioned it once... or twenty times. Fast forward a year and a half (yes, we’re great at procrastinating), and they finally exchanged numbers and agreed to meet for drinks at Saltgrass Steakhouse in Midland, Texas. There was just one small catch: neither of them had social media and had no clue what the other looked like. It was a true blind date — the old-school kind. But somehow, they found each other across the bar, and the conversation flowed like sweet tea in West Texas. They bonded over a shared sense of humor, a mutual love for history, sports, and travel, and an unexpected connection to Fort Stockton — a town dear to both their hearts for very different but equally nostalgic reasons. From that night on, they were pretty much glued at the hip. Then came 2020. While the world was on pause, Daisy and Andrew hit fast-forward and moved in together. Some couples baked bread during quarantine — they built a life. Whether planning their next trip, swapping random trivia facts, or hanging with each other’s families, they made the most of every moment (and a lot of memories). Eventually, they took a big leap — trading tumbleweeds for tacos — and moved to Austin, Texas, chasing a dream they both shared. And then came the big question. On a rainy December night in 2024, in front of the Texas State Capitol, surrounded by glowing Christmas lights and a giant twinkling tree, Andrew got down on one knee. The weather may have been soggy, but the moment was pure magic. Now, they’re getting ready to say “I do” — and they couldn’t be more excited to celebrate with the people who’ve loved and supported them every step of the way (yes, especially you, Aunt Ene).
