Wedding Party

We decided to keep things simple and meaningful with just two people standing by our side. Abby's maid of honor, Olivia, and Christian's best man, Conner, are two of the most important people in our lives, and we couldn’t imagine this season without them. They’ve been there through the laughs, the tears, and everything in between, and we’re so grateful to have them celebrating with us — both in March when we say “I do” and again in May when we gather with all of you.

Abigail Hustad

Bride

Abby graduated from Moorhead High School in 2017 and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in psychology from MSUM in 2022. In the middle of her college years, at just 19 years old, she faced an incredibly difficult season when she had to undergo brain surgery and radiation. The strength and resilience she showed during that time is the same strength she continues to carry into every part of her life — a strength that inspires me every single day. Abby is my best friend, my emotional support, and my sunshine on the cloudiest of days. She is selfless in every sense of the word, always putting the people she loves above anything else on her plate. Her warm, bubbly personality lights up any room she walks into, and her smile has this incredible way of making everyone around her smile right back. She’s intelligent and thoughtful, always ready with the kind of advice and perspective that shows just how deeply she cares for those close to her. And of course, her quick wit keeps life full of laughter and joy. To me, Abby is everything. She is the person I look forward to spending every day with, the one who makes life not only easier but infinitely more beautiful. She is my partner, my safe place, and my forever love. I feel beyond lucky that I get to call her my wife. - Christian

Christian Hustad

Groom

Christian graduated from Sheyenne High School in 2017, earned his bachelor’s degree in management from MSUM in 2021, and went on to complete his MBA in 2023. His ambition and determination never fail to amaze me. He is the hardest worker I know, with perseverance and drive that inspire me every single day. But beyond all of his accomplishments, what makes Christian truly extraordinary is the kind of man he is. From our very first date, I knew I had just met my soulmate. He is my everything — my rock, my constant, and my partner in crime. He has a way of making me laugh no matter the situation and is always there to give me comfort, encouragement, or simply a shoulder to lean on when I need it most. He is genuine, selfless, and endlessly caring — someone who would do absolutely anything for the people he loves. The very best part of my day is always the time I get to spend with him. Every second together feels like a privilege, whether we’re out on an adventure or simply enjoying the quiet moments at home. He is my best friend, the person I admire most, and the love of my life. Christian makes my world brighter in every way, and I feel overwhelmingly blessed that I get to spend forever with him. I truly am the luckiest woman in the world to soon call myself "Mrs. Hustad." I cannot wait to see what beautiful chapters we will write together. - Abby

Olivia Dahlberg

Maid of Honor

My little sister, Olivia, is truly one of the most important people in my life. What started as a sibling bond has grown into the closest of friendships, and I feel so lucky to call her not only my sister, but also my best friend. She graduated from Moorhead High School in 2022 and is currently pursuing her dream of becoming a nurse at MSUM — a path that perfectly reflects her kind, caring, and selfless heart. Olivia has the rare ability to make me laugh no matter what, and her lighthearted spirit brings sunshine into every room she enters. She is thoughtful, compassionate, and always ready to support the people she loves in any way she can. Her heart for others shines through in everything she does, whether it’s in her studies, her friendships, or simply the way she shows up for our family. Even though she’s six years younger than me, I admire her more than I can put into words. She inspires me daily with her determination, kindness, and joy. I am endlessly proud of the woman she’s becoming, and there is no one else I would rather have by my side on one of the most important days of my life. - Abby

Conner Hustad

Best Man

Conner is my younger brother by six years, though in so many ways, I look up to him. At 20 years old, he is studying forensic accounting at NDSU, where he also serves as the Vice President of the accounting club. His drive and ambition are matched by his ability to stay grounded, balancing a focus on the future with an incredible gift for living fully in the present. Conner is one of the most selfless people I know. He constantly puts others before himself and does so with a genuine, down-to-earth heart. He’s also one of the most optimistic people you’ll ever meet, always quick to find the bright side and lift up everyone around him. On top of all of that, he is hilarious, and I can always count on him to make me laugh no matter the situation. He was the first brother I ever had, and we’ve been through thick and thin together. Even though he’s my little brother (and somehow taller than me), he’s someone I look up to in countless other ways, besides physically. He is dependable, loyal, and has been one of the greatest constants in my life. I couldn’t imagine anyone better to stand by my side as my best man on my wedding day. - Christian

Sean Dahlberg

Officiant

Sean is my older brother by just 15 months, and growing up, we were truly inseparable. So much so that many people thought we were twins. He has always been one of the most important people in my life, and I feel so lucky to call him not only my brother, but also one of my closest friends. Sean lives in Minneapolis, MN, where he is a dedicated social studies teacher at Apple Valley High School, inspiring and guiding his students every day with the same passion and determination he brings to everything in life. Sean is the kind of person I wish everyone had the chance to know. He is genuine, caring, and endlessly supportive. His incredible sense of humor and zest for life have a way of uplifting everyone around him, and he can light up any room he walks into. He is also one of the hardest-working people I know, determined and resilient, never giving up even when things get tough. I love him more than words can say, and I admire him in more ways than I can count. Sean has always been someone I look up to, and I strive every day to be a little more like him. Having him as our officiant is one of the greatest honors of my life, and I can’t imagine anyone more perfect to guide us into marriage. - Abby
