Our journey began one summer at the YMCA, where we were both camp leaders, spending our days making kids laugh and creating memories. At work, we’d pretend we barely knew each other, doing our best to act normal in front of everyone. But before and after work? We were inseparable. We’d text all day, spend every free moment together, and try (unsuccessfully) to keep our growing relationship a secret. Somehow, everyone already knew. For our first date, Jose took me to a soccer game at Avaya Stadium. We spent the entire game talking to each other—we didn’t even watch it! Our second date was even more special. After a movie, he took me to a breathtaking view of San Jose, where, under the city lights, he asked me to be his girlfriend. Of course, I said yes. That was nearly nine years ago. Since then, our journey has been filled with adventure, laughter, and endless love. We’ve grown together, supported each other, and built a life full of beautiful moments. Now, we’re ready for our next chapter—forever.
