Our first interaction happened to be hilarious for Brendan, and downright terrifying for Dakota. It somehow started with Brendan walking up without Dakota noticing, and before even saying hello, earned a scream from her and a very entertaining story for him! After a strawberry margarita to calm the nerves from meeting his friends right away, we settled into a groove very quickly. And soon realized that, between bar hopping, a delicious apple pie shot, and a kiss that, to this day, makes us both still feel dizzy, we clearly were both confident in the potential that we both saw in the other person. We had both stopped looking for something special. Then something special happened the second Brendan said hello. Since then, after multiple road trips, life challenges, dinner dates to Ali's Bistro, arguments on where we want to eat, and lots of growth, we’re finally figuring out how the other one ticks. We’ve both grown to love each other for our little flaws and to understand that while life may not be put together and perfect, living an imperfect and messy life together is far better. All of this finally led to a wonderful vacation in the Smoky Mountains where, after Brendan made Dakota hike 2 different trails in one day, got a little too excited about the elk on the way to the third trail, then made Dakota hike all the way up to Clingman's Dome in heels, he surprised her with a beautiful ring and a question that changed both of their lives forever. We want to extend the biggest thank you from the bottom of our hearts, for being there to support us every step of the way. No matter how crazy we may sound sometimes. We truly love and appreciate every single one of you. And we’re so excited to share this special moment in our life together with you!
