FAQs

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

We wish we could host everyone, but we are only able to accommodate the guests listed on your invitation.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Our wedding events will be adult-only unless otherwise noted. If your children are invited to any part of the weekend, we’ll have communicated that with you directly.

Question

What if I have food allergies or dietary restrictions?

Answer

We’re happy to accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions. Please include them in your RSVP, and we’ll make sure there’s something for you.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Friday - Welcome Party Dressy casual: light, polished summer attire. Think sundresses, linen pieces, short-sleeve button-downs, and chinos or khaki shorts. Saturday - Wedding Cocktail attire kindly requested. The celebration will take place on grass, so keep that in mind when picking out your shoes! Sunday - Brunch Casual attire - whatever makes you comfortable.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There will be no parking available at the property. Shuttle service will be provided for guests starting at 3:30pm behind the Old Whaling Church on Church St.

Question

Do I have to take the shuttle?

Answer

While the shuttle isn’t required, we strongly encourage guests to use it. The road to the property is quite narrow, so we’re aiming to limit the number of vehicles traveling to and from the venue. Shuttles will depart at 3:30pm and 3:45pm from the pickup location behind the Old Whaling Church on Church Street. If you miss the shuttle, you’re welcome to take an Uber. You’re also welcome to walk from town if you prefer.

Question

How do I get home after the reception?

Answer

If the party’s over for you after the reception, shuttles will be available at 10pm to take you back to the pickup location behind the Old Whaling Church on Church Street. From there, you can walk or Uber back to your accommodations.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony and reception will take place outdoors. The reception will be under a tent, with additional coverage available for the ceremony if it rains.

Question

Are there any events planned for the weekend aside from the wedding?

Answer

We’ll be hosting welcome drinks on Friday evening at the Wuertheles’ home, and a casual brunch on Sunday at the wedding property. Both events are completely optional, please join if you’re in town and up for it.
