Marie and Cyrus met in Albany, NY, when they emigrated from the Philippines in 2007. They crossed paths during high school but had never interacted with each other until they reconnected through a mutual friend in 2009. Back when "Friendster" (the sister social media of MySpace back then) was a thing, Marie and Cyrus developed feelings for each other. Cyrus then asked Marie to be his girlfriend in 2010 through AOL (throwback!). Although they have been together for a while, their story involved all of the ups and downs you typically see in a long-term relationship. Still, these experiences just made their relationship stronger. In 2018, Cyrus proposed to Marie during his parent's vow renewal at Glen Sanders Mansion in front of their family and close friends. 2019 became one of the biggest days of their lives. Ellie came into this world and became the sole focus of Marie and Cyrus's life. Then, in 2023, Marie and Cyrus finally decided to plan their marriage and celebrate in the country where they were born. We're so excited for you to join us as we say "I do" at our destination wedding in October of 2025 in the Philippines. We hope to see all your lovely faces soon!
