There is only one airport in Cartagena :) We do not recommend exchanging your cash to pesos (Colombian currency) here because the airport pays the lowest rate. You will find much higher rates within the Walled City. Bring small bills with you, as the cab ride from the airport to the walled city is approx $5-$10 and you can pay USD for it. (its a 10 minute cab ride)

We've found the best prices for hotels in Cartagena through Expedia, but feel free to shop around! (sometimes booking directly with the hotel is cheaper, but Expedia is a good tool to sort through all the hotels in the area) Keep in mind most hotels in the walled city are small boutique style and get booked quickly. There are larger chain hotels outside of the walled city which is about a 10 minute drive away (however, if you are looking for the full Cartagena experience, we do not recommend staying outside of the walled city )
