Question

What are the Covid-19 policies?

Answer

To attend our wedding, we are not accepting negative Covid test results. You must be Covid-19 vaccinated and boosted. We will be asking you to submit your vaccination card in advance to confirm status. Masks will not be required, but we encourage our guests to wear them. Masks will be available for those that would like to use them. Our COVID-19 policies are based on the guidelines per the City of San Jose and the recommendations of the CDC. We are closely monitoring the ever-changing COVID-19 pandemic and will update our website if any guidelines change. We are asking for your help in following the COVID-19 policies and understanding as we are all navigating this unique situation.

Question

Will there be a Seating Chart?

Answer

No there will not. The ballpark is closed to the public. We have the whole stadium to ourselves. During the ceremony, guests are welcome to sit wherever they feel comfortable in the stands. There is plenty of room if you choose to social distance from other fans. Lots of great aisle seats available. During the reception, it will be open table seating for all guests, with lots of space throughout. There will be a couple of reserved tables marked for the Bride and Groom and the Bridal Party.

Question

Can I add more people that are not listed on the invitation?

Answer

The answer is no. We only have 150 spots for our special day. We hope you understand.

Question

What if I need to change a guest that was on my invitation?

Answer

That is fine with us as long as they fully comply with our Covid-19 policies to attend our wedding. You would need to let us know of the name change ahead of time so we can approve of it. They would need to submit their vaccination status the same as you have done. We would appreciate as much notice as possible as we have to submit a final head-count to the venue within 2 days of the wedding.

Question

What time should I arrive at the stadium?

Answer

The gate will open promptly at 3:00pm. All guests will go through a mandatory check-in process upon entry. Guests are strongly urged to be in line by 2:45pm. This is to make sure everyone can be seated for the service that starts at 3:25pm.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal attire or come in your favorite Giants or A's baseball gear. ABSOLUTELY NO DODGERS apparel will be allowed. We are 100% serious about not allowing you in the stadium if you show up in Dodgers apparel.

Question

Is there parking available at the stadium?

Answer

The main parking lot for the San Jose Giants is located on the East Alma Ave side and is free to park. Limited handicap stalls available. Additional parking may be found in the paid SJSU garage at the corner of South 10th St and East Alma Ave.

Question

What is the weather like in San Jose?

Answer

We anticipate temperatures in the mid-70s for a normal October day. The event will take place rain or shine. Please be advised to watch the weather and plan accordingly with extra layers if needed.

Question

What kind of food will be served?

Answer

In keeping with the spirit of a baseball-themed wedding, we are having ballpark-style food. Hot Dogs, Burgers, Chicken Sandwiches, Tri Tip and a side. We will try to accommodate those with allergies and restrictions as best as possible.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes and No. The city of San Jose will only allow us to serve beer and wine, which will be provided for free. There will also be water and soda. Per the San Jose Giants guidelines: "Guests are prohibited from bringing alcohol into the stadium. Guests who appear to be under the age of 30 will be required to show a valid ID."

Question

What's all this hype about the purple tickets? 🔴🔺🟥

Answer

In the spirit of a traditional minor league game entertainment, we are doing a raffle fundraiser. We are doing this in place of a money dance for our honeymoon fund. Please remember to bring your one free ticket to the raffle station to officially enter. At the station, you will be able to buy more tickets to help us with our dream honeymoon. What are some of the prizes that you'll win, you ask? Authenticated autographed Buster Posey baseball Two tickets to a 2023 SF Giants game (these won't be upper deck seats, we promise!) Barry Bonds PSA Graded Rookie card AMC movie gift card Giants Bobblehead Special Mystery Bag Surprise

Question

Will I be ejected from the stadium if I go out on the field?

Answer

Yes, if you come on the field during the ceremony, you will be dragged away by the umpires. After dinner, we will be opening the outfield grass for you to play catch and lawn games. Feel free to bring a glove with you. Streaking is discouraged at all times.

Question

Is smoking or vaping allowed?

Answer

Yes, only if you're on fire. Seriously, NO smoking or vaping is allowed anywhere inside the stadium. Guests must exit outside to the street where smoking and vaping is permitted. Watch out for foul balls!

Question

What if we don't like all of your rules?

Answer

There's only one thing we can say to that: "There's no crying in baseball."
