A gorgeous waterfall lookout about 15 minutes from the Fairfield Inn. There is a lookout point accessible via paved footpath, or there are a few trails you can check out too. You can also grab a bite to eat at the Attic, a restaurant inside the Lodge that sits on top of the falls. If you're lucky, you'll have a gorgeous view while you eat!
Franklin Falls is a little further out from Issaquah, but is a great option if you're looking for a quick hike! It's a quick and easy hike and stays fairly level throughout. It ends at a gorgeous waterfall you can walk right up to. Just keep in mind that on the weekends, this trail (and most trails in the area) gets busy quickly.
For those of you wanting to explore Seattle, we can't recommend the Arboretum enough! We especially recommend the Japanese Garden (very much worth the extra entrance fee). There are trails of varying lengths so you can go for a quick visit or for an afternoon out.
If you're hoping to sample some local beer, the Ballard Brewery District is the best place to do it. It's a one-stop shop with tons of breweries within just a few blocks. Most of these breweries serve food or have delicious food trucks parked nearby. Use the link to browse some of your options - Urban Family is Alejandro's favorite!
A classic option if this is your first time in Seattle - the Market is full of yummy restaurants and unique shops. Shopping here is a great way to support local small businesses. We highly recommend exploring the waterfront as well!
Another great option if you want to check out some local beer. Special shout out to Alejandro's best man, Clark, who works here and has recommended many a good beer to us!
