It was March, 2019, when serendipity brought Pam and Montie together. She worked at the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington D.C., he was a tour guide in town. Their first date included a fluffy golden retriever puppy, a dozen donuts, and a walk through the historic Capitol Hill neighborhood. Pamela returned to Peru in April, 2019, and they kept in touch. Pamela returned to Washington D.C. in June 2019, and separated a second time in November that year. January 2020 brought Montie to Lima, Peru, to meet Pamela´s family, and to visit Machu Picchu. It was planned that Pamela would come back to Washington, D.C. to celebrate St Patrick´s Day, as well as dual April birthdays. Covid-19 changed those plans. On January 1st, 2021 Alexander posed the big question: "You're my soulmate, and I don't want to live another pandemic without you. Would you like to be my wife?" and Pamela replied with a big “YES!”. We had the civil wedding on April 4, 2021 at the D.C. War Memorial with reduced guests. We plan to be married in a Catholic ceremony in Peru, a country with a church that is significant to Pamela. This country has one of the seven wonders of the world, so now you have the excuse to fly to Peru.
