Pete's Dueling Piano Bar Party

7:00 pm

Pete's Dueling Piano Bar - Houston
1201 Fannin St, Suite 310, Houston, TX 77002

Anything goes! It's a Texas bar so if you have any country get-up, you are more than welcome to wear it! Otherwise, this is a fairly casual place.

This is a tentative event idea that Kevin and Cuquis think would be fun for guests in Houston or any out of town guests coming in early to attend, as a pre-pre wedding celebration! This is a fun and lively experience where you can sing your heart out to popular songs played on the piano. Only drinks are served so we recommend eating beforehand. Our reservation requires us to arrive between 7-8 pm. It's gonna be one rip-roarin' rootin'-tootin' barn-burnin' good time! Note: This place is for 21+ and over so if you come, please bring your ID or passport with you. For any minors 18+ must be accompanied by their parent. If you're looking for a place to eat before the event, we recommend POST which is right at the entrance to Downtown Houston. It's an old US Postal Service Office transformed into an ethnic food court.

Wedding and Reception

Sat, Oct 18, 2025, 5:00 pm - Sun, Oct 19, 2025, 12:00 am

Shirley Acres Wedding & Event Venue
217 Woerner Rd, Houston, TX 77090

Cocktail attire meets garden party: I want people to have fun with this! Examples not limited to... sundresses, maxi dresses, floral prints, suits, button down shirts, slacks, fedoras, guayaberas.

For the ladies we recommend rich, bright, jewel or berry tones. The attire is closer to garden party meets cocktail hour. A dressy jumpsuit is also a nice option. If you are looking for inspiration on what to wear, you might consider wearing jewel tones such as emerald green, mulberry wine, teal, navy, sapphire blue or pink, ruby red, magenta, sage green, etc. Think cheerful and happy vibes! Prints are welcome too! However, please don't dress in formal attire because it might be on the warmer side; also, please avoid wearing or carrying yellow flowers as they are considered bad luck for the bride's family. For the guys, you can wear any long sleeve button ups, long pants and slacks with or without a sport coat, or guayaberas. Solid colored shirts preferable. You can wear a vest if you like. If you decide on a guayabera, go for it! They have more pastel options since that is what traditional guayaberas look like. Ties and bowties are optional. If you'd like to wear one, do it!

(Tentative) After Party

12:00 am - 3:00 am

TBD

Our time at the wedding venue will end at midnight, so we are considering extending the party into the midnight hour. We don't yet have a plan of action, but we are open to suggestions as we figure this out. You can email us at bonobowedding2025@gmail.com, or text either Cuquis or Kevin with your suggestions.
