Fly into Paris

The most direct and likely affordable way to get to France would be to fly into Paris. From Paris there are several options to get to the area. We recommend taking the train to either: Libourne - 3.5 hour train from Paris, 20 minutes from Chateau Rigaud Bordeaux - 2 hour train from Paris, 1 hour to Chateau Rigaud If you're interested in flying closer to the Chateau, the closest airports are Bordeaux and Bergerac with daily scheduled & budget flights from many European airports. It takes approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour to reach the chateau from either airport & driving directions from both are available.

Getting to the Chateau

Having a car will allow you to fully experience the beauty of the surrounding region. Here's what you need to know: Car Hire Options: Airports: All major car rental agencies are available at Bordeaux or Bergerac Airport and Bordeaux Saint-Jean Train Station. There is a Europcar office at Libourne railway station. Other Transportation Options: Taxis: While taxis are available, they can be less frequent in this rural area and may be expensive. Expect to pay around €150 for a taxi from the airport/train to the Château. Uber: Uber may be available from the airport or train station, but it can be challenging to find a ride back from Rigaud due to its rural location. Transfers to the Chateau: Château Minibuses (for smaller groups): For airport or Bordeaux train transfers, we have two minibuses available (8 passengers each) at a cost of €190 per vehicle. Large coach from Bordeaux Train Station: We will collect interest as it get's closer if you would like to utilize a pre-organized shuttle to and from Bordeaux train station.
