Portland, ME airport is about a 40 minute drive to Drake’s Island and the closest airport to fly into. Flights can get pricey so we recommend booking sooner rather than later and renting a car from the airport.

Boston Logan International Airport is a 1 hour and 30 minute drive to Drakes Island. Logan is a larger airport and might have better flight times and options for those traveling from further away. We recommend renting a car from the airport.
Train
Wells Station Amtrak - Downeaster
The Amtrak Downeaster is another way to get to Drake’s Island. It leaves North Station in Boston and takes about 1 hour and 50 minutes to arrive in Wells, Maine. This will leave you with a 7 minute drive to Drakes Island. This might be a good option if you can coordinate with others who have rented cars as Uber and Lyft are not as readily available.
