Cullen and I met at an ugly sweater party hosted by mutual friends my freshman year (his sophomore year) of college. Obviously, our sweaters were not quite ugly enough to prevent a romance. When pictures of the party were posted that week, Cullen was disappointed to discover I did not have an Instagram account that he could connect with me on. Luckily for him, my friends discovered my interest in him, and they soon had us connecting over Facebook, text and FaceTime. As Cullen went to school at NAU in Flagstaff and I at the U of A in Tucson, these were the first of many, many long distance calls and texts over the next three years. Whenever we had a free weekend, we would travel across Arizona to see each other, getting to know each other's family and friends as well. Some of our favorite memories during these early days of our friendship and relationship include hiking, going out for ice cream, watching movies, playing board games, swimming in his family's pool, and taking our family dogs for walks.

After knowing each other for almost 3 years, the change we had been hoping for finally came- I was able to move to Flagstaff so we would no longer have to date long-distance. This grew our relationship exponentially as we were now able to share our faith community, serve each other in new ways, chat about our day more easily, and prepare for what we knew was coming soon- moving to Denver! In May of 2021, we moved to Denver where I would soon start my Physician Assistant Master's Program at the University of Colorado and Cullen would join the staff team with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship at the Auraria Campus in downtown Denver. Living in Colorado has brought so many new adventures and places to explore! While we are still fairly new to the area, we have made great friends, joined a church community, and GOTTEN ENGAGED! On December 4th, Cullen (mostly) surprised me with popping the question, which I had been waiting for since ring shopping together back in September. We couldn't have been happier as we celebrated all weekend long with both of our families!

We greatly anticipate July 23rd, the day that we will stand before all of you, our beloved family and friends, as we enter into a lifelong covenant between us and God. We are overjoyed to invite you to be witnesses of our marriage ceremony and to celebrate with us as we become husband and wife. God is so good, and we know he has amazing plans for us!
