If I'm looking to book my hotel room, when should I do it?

Answer

ASAP! Although with our new December date we are no longer competing with local college graduations for hotel space as we were with our original May date, we still want everyone by our side for our special night and would not want anyone to miss out on potentially getting a space!

What's the best mode of transportation from New York City?

Answer

The Grandview is walking distance from the Poughkeepsie train stop on the Metro North line. The Metro North runs from Grand Central Station and the trip is approximately two hours and costs $20-$25 each way depending on the time of day that you are traveling.

What are fun things to do in the neighborhood?

Answer

The New Paltz/Poughkeepsie/Beacon areas are all lovely and a great time! Tons of awesome restaurants, breweries, hiking, and views. This will be wintertime so outdoor activities may be limited but we hope that you can spend some time in the area and sip some hot cocoa and take in the friendliness and magic of the Hudson Valley while you're in the area for the wedding. We would also hope that you would take the time to support some local business who will certainly need the help on the heels of the unprecedented situation of this year.

WHY RESCHEDULE FOR DECEMBER INSTEAD OF A DATE CLOSER TO THE ORIGINAL MAY 22nd?

Because we want to end this roller coaster of a year on a high note with all of our loved ones by our side! The magic of the Holiday Season will also add to the joyous and festive celebration that we want to create for you all!
