Where is the wedding taking place?

Our wedding will be held on the beautiful Isla Holbox, a charming island in the state of Quintana Roo, Mexico.

When should I arrive and leave?

Answer

Our wedding is on December 7, 2025. We recommend arriving at least one or two days before to settle in and enjoy the island. We’ll be staying from December 5th to 9th, 2025, but you’re not expected to follow our schedule—this is just for your reference. Departing a day or two after the celebration is ideal, but feel free to extend your stay and explore beautiful Holbox!

What do I do if I can't make it?

You will be dearly missed! If you can't attend the wedding, please RSVP "Will Not Attend." If you cannot attend after you have already RSVP'd "Will Attend," please let us know as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly.

How do I get to Isla Holbox?

Answer

Fly into Cancun International Airport (CUN). Travel by car or shuttle from the airport to the Chiquilá Ferry Terminal (about a 2-hour drive). Take a 25-30 minute ferry ride to Isla Holbox. Once on the island, a UTV (4-wheeler taxi) will take you to the hotel.

How do I travel to the Chiquilá Ferry Terminal from Cancun Airport?

Answer

The drive from Cancun Airport to Chiquilá takes about two hours. We recommend pre-booking a shuttle service for a convenient and stress-free journey to the Chiquilá Ferry Terminal. Shuttles are the most direct option, and for cost efficiency, consider coordinating with family and friends traveling for the wedding to share the ride and split the cost. What should I know about ferry times and travel to Holbox when booking my flight?

Answer

When traveling to Holbox, you'll first need to get to Chiquilá Port, which is about a 2 to 2.5-hour drive from Cancun International Airport. Please keep this in mind when booking your flights to allow enough time to travel from the airport to Chiquilá. The ferry from Chiquilá to Holbox runs frequently, but you should be aware of these key details: The first ferry leaves around 5:00 am and the last around 8:30 pm. The travel time is about 25 minutes. The service is available every half hour during the high season. There are two ferry companies: Holbox Express and 9 Hermanos If your flight arrives late in the day, be sure you can reach Chiquilá in time for the last ferry, or plan to stay overnight in Chiquilá and take the first ferry in the morning. Give yourself at least 4–5 hours of buffer time from your flight's landing to when the last ferry departs, especially to account for immigration, baggage claim, and travel to Chiquilá.

Yes! The journey is manageable and suitable for all ages. The ferry is stable and quick, and the four-wheeler taxis on the island are a fun way to travel.

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code is Cocktail Beach Wedding Attire. We kindly ask you to avoid wearing white, cream, nude, neutral colors, or all-linen outfits. Since the event will likely be on the sand, walkable shoes like sandals, wedges, or flats are recommended for the wedding.

Is there anything else I should know about traveling to Holbox?

Answer

Isla Holbox is a car-free island, so everything is easily accessible by foot, bike, or UTV taxis. ATMs are limited on the island, so bringing cash (in pesos) is a good idea. The vibe is relaxed and tropical—perfect for a destination wedding!
