Lizzy has been part of Ashley’s life since the summer of 98, when their friendship first began because their moms were best friends. They were simply two little girls growing up side by side, creating memories that would stay with them forever. Their childhood was filled with Barbie dolls, ninja toys and endless imagination. As they grew older, life brought challenges and change that forced them both to grow up sooner than expected. Lizzy remained a constant source of strength, understanding, and loyalty in Ashley’s life. Their friendship was built not only on happy memories, but also on surviving life’s hardest moments together. Now, having Lizzy stand beside Ashley as her Matron of Honor means far more than a title. It represents years of love, resilience, shared history, and a friendship that has stood the test of time!
David Hein
Best Man
David is the big baby brother, and best man to the groom. He has had a full beard since 13 and shares Andy's bad sense of humor, love of motorcycles, and ability to quote, "The Road to El Dorado," movie. David and Andy have always been close. When Ashley first met him, she said they were two peas in a pod. The two enjoy many activities and hobbies, from archery, motorcycle riding, and playing with their tools. They like the same books and movies, and David has been a close confidant for Andy from teenage years well into adulthood. He is more than a brother, he is Andy's oldest and closest friend.
Justina Owen
Maid of Honor
Justina has been part of Ashley’s life from the very beginning. Ashley was there the same day Justina was born, as their mothers, young and inseparable best friends. They brought their daughters into a friendship that would last a lifetime. From childhood on, Ashley and Justina grew up more like sisters than friends, sharing every stage of life. Together, they built a lifetime of memories filled with laughter and moments only the two of them could understand. Today, their friendship has grown into something even deeper, with Ashley now serving as the godmother to Justina’s daughter, Novalee. A role that reflects the trust, love, and lifelong connection they share. Having Justina stand beside Ashley as Maid of Honor is more than meaningful, it's a celebration of a friendship that began before either of them could even understand what friendship was, and one that has only grown stronger with time!
Greg Hein
Groomsman
The artist known as Greg Hein is first cousin to the groom. Born and raised in Texas, now residing in California. Greg and Andy are close in age, but growing up on different ends of the country, spending time together was a rare treat. They reconnected as adults, and have been close ever since. Both enjoy hiking good trails, classic cars, travel, share a love of puns and dad jokes (you may notice a pattern with Heins and dad jokes), and greatly value time with family. Greg has a strong creative mind, and a quick sense of humor. Family bonds are strong in this family, even several states away. Andy is honored to have Greg join him on this special day.
Sara Hein
Bridesmaid
Sara has become such a meaningful part of Ashley’s life, not only as her future sister-in-law, but as someone she shares a genuine and heartfelt connection with. They haven't known each other for very long but Ashley and Sara have always connected through their similar views on life, sharing conversations filled with encouragement, compassion, and support. Having Sara stand beside her as a bridesmaid is incredibly special because it represents not only family, but a friendship rooted in love, trust, and an incredible connection.
Alex Petzold
Groomsman
Alex is the fiance to Andy's Sister. He can tell a good story, and does a solid Chris Farley impression. He is like a brother to Andy, and fits right in with the family. He gained Andy's respect and trust through his work ethic. He enjoys working with his hands and stand up comedy. He has been extremely helpful to the Hein family; from helping install the water heater in the cabin, building a deck, and helping Andy replace motor mounts on his old car. Andy is proud of call him a future brother in law...even if his truck isn't a Ford.

Meet Ashley's step sister Ashley Rose! Her sister has been by her side for as long as she can remember. Growing up together, they’ve shared a lifetime of memories, long car rides, inside jokes, and moments that'll never be forgotten. Ashley Rose is so much more than a sister; she is a cherished part of Ashley’s story. She has been there through the everyday moments, the hard seasons, and the biggest milestones, loving her every step of the way. No matter what life brought their way, they found comfort in knowing they could lean on one another. Their bond has only grown stronger with time, which makes it all the more meaningful to have her standing by Ashley’s side on one of the most important days of her life.

Evan and Andy met in sophomore year history class. Junior year lunch table was where their friendship formed. The two enjoy hiking, skiing, and camping together. Andy stood up at Evan's wedding years ago, and Andy is excited to have Evan stand up at his. Evan and Andy often discuss their faith and interest in history, when they aren't hiking down a trail that is way too long and full of mosquitoes.
Claudette Ingold

Ashley has had the rare gift of growing up alongside her best friend Claudette since they were just eight years old. As kids, they spent endless days outside, letting their imaginations run wild and create their own little world together. They stood side by side in Girl Scouts, laughing historically, building tipis, and collecting memories that would last a lifetime! Over the years, that childhood friendship has deepened into something even more heartfelt. Having Claudette stand beside her as a bridesmaid is incredibly special. Claudette is not just a best friend, she’s family, a lifelong old soul, and a beautiful part of Ashley's story. She truly can’t imagine this day without her!
Chris Lembke

Another friend from high school, and fellow outdoorsman. Both of these two have stood up in friend's weddings in the past, and Andy was Chris' best man. Naturally, Chris had to be a groomsman in Andy's wedding. The two have done road trips to camping trips together. They both share a die hard love of the Packers and German beer. They have even been confused for brothers. Nearly two decades of friendship have led to standing up in each other's weddings.
Karisa Dorbritz-Lahti

From the moment they met as young girls, Karisa has been a constant and unforgettable part of Ashley's life. Karisa has always been someone Ashley could rely on, but her strength and loyalty were proven in the most profound way when they were just eleven years old. When Karisa and Claudette saved Ashley's life. It’s moments like that reflects the depth of the kind of friendship they always had together. Having Karisa stand beside her as a bridesmaid means everything to Ashley! She is not only a best friend, but someone who has helped shape Ashley's journey in life, and she couldn’t imagine celebrating this day without her.
Cody Borchardt
Groomsman
Cody and Andy became friends in high school. Their friendship was built on a mutual love of sport shooting, hunting, the outdoors, and Star Wars. Cody taught Andy how to skin and process a deer, how to shoot a bow and arrow, and how to make the perfect venison burger. While Andy has not been hunting in a few years, these memories mean the world to him, as he did not grow up in a hunting household. Learning the traditions of hunting was something Andy had wanted to do as a kid, and Cody was instrumental in guiding him on that journey.
Stephanie Lahti
Bridesmaid
Stephanie and Ashley’s friendship began in the simplest way. The two met outside when Ashley moved to Waukesha back in 97. Not knowing that moment would turn into a lifelong friendship. Back then, their days were filled with dancing, laughter, running around without a care in the world, and creating their own world during recess. The playground wasn’t just a place to play, it was where a forever friendship quietly took root! Stephanie stands beside Ashley on one of the most important days of her life, not just as a bridesmaid, but as someone who has been there since elementary school. She is a living reminder of where Ashley has been, the bond they experienced together, and the kind of friendship that lasts forever!
Steve Searing
Groomsman
Meet Steve. Don't sell him short, even though there are those that think little of him. Short jokes aside, Steve is a true friend. He is funny, smart, and probably one of Andy's wisest friends. The two met in freshman year science class, but became close in junior year English. The two often got paired together on creative writing projects, where their respective creativity and sense of humor helped them in their writings, and their other adventures. Like many other old friends, what means the most, are the memories thus far, and many more that will be made in years to come.
Devin Malone Williams
Usher
Ashley’s first met her step brother Devin when he was just six months old. Over the years, Ashley has had the privilege of watching him grow from a young boy into a strong, caring, family oriented man. From basketball games, and all the moments in between, she has proudly watched his determination, growth, and passion. Having Devin stand beside Ashley in her wedding is incredibly meaningful because he represents family, and a bond that has been built over a lifetime of memories. From babysitting him as a little boy with his ice cream in hand to watching him become the amazing man he is today. Ashley will always treasure their relationship as siblings, even if he's taller than her.
Luke Zahalka
Usher
This wedding, Luke gets to return the favor of being an usher, as that is the role Andy played in his wedding. Andy's close friend Adrienne introduced the two when she and Luke began dating. She did not anticipate how close these two men would become. Luke and Andy have had numerous deep conversations, humorous road trips, and mildly successful hunting excursions. That is a fancy way of saying they went squirrel hunting more than once. Luke makes a mean pot roast, and is known for his thick northern Wisconsin accent. He is smart, funny, and genuinely kind.
Giana Quartana
Flower Girl
Meet Giana! This adorable little gal is the daughter of Andy's close friends and former neighbors, Melissa and Josh. Melissa and Josh lived in the same apartment complex, one floor below Andy for many years. Andy had the pleasure of watching her grow up, and Giana had the pleasure of tossing a football with Andy, wearing his firefighting gear, and sitting on his motorcycle more than once. She is a sweet girl with her mother's sass (you know it's true Melissa). Andy and Ashley cannot wait to have her as the flower girl on their special day!
Gio Quartana
Ring Bearer
Gio is Giana's little brother, and second child of Josh and Melissa, Andy's previous neighbors from his old apartment complex. Gio is a fast, creative, and active little guy. He used to love riding his electric Mini-Cooper around the parking lot of their old apartment, and kept everyone on their toes with how fast he could sneak off for an impromptu game of hide and seek. After having watched him grow and learn so much, who else could Andy and Ashley have asked to be a ring bearer?
