On August 27, 2018 in Encinitas, CA, Ryan asked Cristina to marry him. Ryan had planned the whole event MONTHS before. We would take a walk on the beach, accompanied by our closest friends, where we would meet up with Cristina's parents - who were dressed as tourists and hiding in plain sight - and Ryan would pop the question in Cristina's all time favorite setting: the beach. From Cristina's point of view, everyone was acting weird. wanting to do weird things, and saying odd stuff. All she knew is that she and her friends were walking down the beach instead of going to a new brewery - not cool! Imagine her surprise when she was led towards the water by her friend Julie, only to turn around, see her parents standing there (where did they come from?!), and Ryan walking towards her with one hand behind his back and a very nervous smile on his face. It was the best surprise of her life (just ask her to see the photos) - and she said yes!
