The easiest airport to fly into for Palm Desert is Ontario, ONT. It's about an hour drive to Palm Desert from there, and because most airlines fly into it, you can potentially find some deals. There is an airport in Palm Springs that would be closest, but because it's very small, you would have to take multiple flights and the cost is most likely greater. If you plan to spend time where we live the week around the wedding, airports in Los Angeles are LAX (our airport, but by FAR the most congested), Burbank Airport (BUR), or Long Beach Airport (LGB). Those are about a 2 hour drive away from Palm Desert (assuming there's no traffic...). The last option is the John Wayne airport in Orange County, which is about an hour and a half drive to Palm Desert. Pro tip: if you're heading out Friday by car, leave as EARLY as possible!! It could change your drive from 2 hours before 10am to 4+ hours after 3pm! No joke... it's insane.

Resort with a Rental Vibe

SHADOW MOUNTAIN RESORT. It's kind of like a mix between a hotel and a rental. You can book studios, condos or villas within this resort, but it still has a resort pool, golf course, tennis courts, etc. This would be a good option for a family or your #squad.

BEST WESTERN PLUS PALM DESERT. This is the most affordable option and it's less than 3 miles from the Living Desert. Good option for those hoping to save their $$$ for cocktails and shopping ;)

Ultra Luxury + Modern with a Vintage feel

HOTEL PASEO. If you're in a "treat yo self" mood, this hotel is a brand new beautiful Marriott. It has a Mid-century Modern feel, with unique art, vinyl players in some rooms and a 1950's airstream on the premises. This is a splurge for sure, but if you wanna go big or go home, check this place out!

EMBASSY SUITES PALM DESERT. If you're a Hilton Member, you may want to use your points here! The Embassy Suites in Palm Desert will definitely be a beautiful and comfortable stay! It's a slight step up in cost from the Best Western, but much more reasonable that Hotel Paseo. We were able to get a deal on a limited number of rooms blocked for our wedding weekend! Book early to ensure you save your spot! Some members of Cristina and Mitch's families are staying here, and have already booked their rooms.

AIRBNB, VRBO & HOMESTAY. There are many homes for rent in various prices, locations and sizes on these home sharing websites. You could potentially get the best value from a home rental! This is a great choice for your stay because of the extra privacy and you could get fun accommodations like a pool! There are strict noise rules for Palm Desert and Palm Springs, so keep that in mind since you would be staying in a residential area. Palm Springs is about 30 minutes away if you wanted to widen your search. La Quinta and Rancho Mirage are even closer than that! Again, we recommend that you BOOK EARLY!!

The Early Bird... actually gets a place to stay

There are MANY events that happen in the Coachella Valley in the months of March and April. I know... of course we picked the "high season" for our wedding... but the weather is wonderful and warm that time of year when the rest of the country is thawing out! The Senior Cup tournament is happening this same weekend. We HIGHLY suggest booking your travel accommodations as early as possible!
