The First Day We met at the Hyatt Huntington Beach where we held the same position and often didn’t agree. To some it may have seemed like we butted heads but that passion was the spark of a good match. It wasn’t long before Daniel decided to invite Cristina for drinks at a local pool hall. The disagreements live on since Cristina believes that was the day Daniel first attempted to woo her while Daniel insists he was just trying to get to know a colleague better. Only Bartender Bob will know the real answer, but it marked the first day of the start of something more than a night out.
Five years later we were living together in California wine country and Daniel felt it was time to pop the question (finally). He called Cristina’s dad, Tom, to receive his blessing and put the plan in motion. Following a romantic dinner at one of the region’s top restaurants, we ascended to the rooftop where Daniel, on bended knee, asked Cristina for her hand in marriage by presenting her with a beautiful engagement ring made with diamonds from her late mom’s wedding ring. She said yes… well first for dessert and then to me.
As time draws closer to our wedding, we are both excited to gather the most important people in our lives to celebrate the big day. We chose New Year’s Eve because we wanted everyone to forget about the past couple of crazy years, get dressed up and celebrate life and love by eating, drinking and dancing the night away into 2022. We are both grateful and thankful that you’ll be celebrating with us and we love every single one of you.
