How do you get to Syracuse from NYC?

Answer

From NYC (all modes): A flight is about 45 minutes. Train and bus (5 hours). Car (4 hours). Crissy's recco is train since it's a pretty ride. Also, Lyft and Uber are very reliable pick ups from all locations.

How do you get there from everywhere else?

Answer

Syracuse usually has pretty good travel options because Syracuse University is in the heart of the city. Lyft and Ubers are also great pickups from all spots (train/bus station and airport) and all are very close to downtown Syracuse.

UPDATED - How does parking and transportation work from the various events?

REHEARSAL Church - The church has its own parking lot where you can park for free. Additionally, the hotel that is booked is a short 5 minute walk from the church. Rehearsal Dinner - Spaghetti Warehouse also has its own parking lot. If you’re not driving to the rehearsal dinner, please use Uber, Lyft, or you can call one of the taxi services below: CNY Green Taxi - (315) 708-9654 Syracuse Taxi Cab Service - 315-401-7769 Syracuse Taxi 4 Less - 1 877 638 9340 Metro Taxi Transportation - (315) 437-7000 Murphy Taxi - (315) 471-2121 WEDDING Church - If you’re not parking on the street, the church has its own parking lot where you can park for free during the service. Additionally, the hotel that is booked is a short 5 minute walk from the church. Parking at the hotel is $10 per day you will be given a parking validation ticket to be placed in your car. Transportation from church to reception - READ CLOSELY - It is about a 7 minute drive. New Yorkers, do not try to walk this, haha. It’s about a 30 minute walk. Just don’t try, even though I know you want to. To park for free, tell the parking lot attendant cross the street from the reception that you're attending the wedding reception upstairs at Dinosaur Bar-B-Que. If you do not mention this, the charge is $6. ****Here is the Uber code to use on 9/3 from the church ceremony to the reception and back to the hotel after all the festivities. Those are the only locations that work with the voucher. Ideally, if you'd like to buddy up offline with one another, wonderful! If not, that's ok too! Yes! We have factored in your little ones for the invite. If you have a kiddo that was on the invite they're in. We love kids, and Violet loves kids even more <3.

What do I wear to the fair?

Answer

Dress comfortably! Sneakers for walking is a must, and sneakers that you're ok with getting a bit dusty. Also, bring a light sweater for the evening chill.

Early September in Syracuse is really lovely. It will be warmer in the day, and the temps will dip a bit at night, so make sure you have a light shawl or sweater.
