Our Story

First comes pretzles, then comes marriage.

Our story began after a month of talking online, we decided on March 25th, 2023 that giant pretzels, mushroom pizza, drinks and finally getting to see each other face-to-face sounded like a dream come true! We talked for endless hours about our childhoods, where we come from, our faiths, careers, friendships, everything and anything you can talk about, we did it. We were so immersed in conversation with each other, that we ended up closing two different bars and still managed to go on a walk in downtown Ann Arbor. From the time we met, we felt like we were home whenever with one another. Now here we are, getting married to each other because we simply can not imagine our lives without one another. We took a bucket list hiking trip to Banff, Alberta in Canada in May 2024. Our first day was spent driving 7 hours from Washington State to where we were staying in the Canadian Rockies, driving through the mountains and slowly watching them get bigger the closer we got to our destination. On our second day, we explored Yoho National park by kayaking at Emerald Lake, climbing up & down natural bridges on the Kicking Horse River and finally our last hike of the day at Wapta Falls. On May 27th, 2024, we were officially engaged and ready to begin forever with one another. One thing about us, is that we are both extremely passionate about our hobbies and the people we hold closest to our hearts. With that being said, we decided to read our personal written vows during a hike in the Redwoods privately, writing anniversary letters on the Oregon coast in Brookings, following with small intimate ceremony out by Mount Hood with immediate family and our closest friends. We wanted to change our wedding "day" to a wedding "experience" because living in the moment and creating memories through experiences is a core value in our relationship. To disconnect from every day lives to reconnect and become one with nature. Breath fresh air, feel the dirt on the bottom of our shoes (maybe even bare footed), listen to the wind & animals, hug the trees. Reconnect with ourselves in awe of what the Lord has created for us to appreciate and explore. Thanks to our parents, we are so excited to have the opportunity to celebrate with the rest of our loved ones and all of our friends. We look forward to having you celebrate our marriage with us with food, drinks, and a lot, and we mean... A LOT of dancing. XOXO - W & N
